The city borders Balboa Park making it just a walk away from the nature trails. The Hillcrest Farmers market takes place every Sunday on Normal Avenue and is one of the largest farmer’s markets in San Diego with around 175 vendors. Locally owned businesses are embraced in Hillcrest and the local schools boast high rating. The affluent neighborhood is perfect to move to if you want to be in the heart of San Diego but still have a small town feel.
